As a photographer entering a National Park is a very daunting task. Iconic Photographers have made their careers within these boundaries. When you show your images in the future you can guarantee you will be compared against these superstars. Not to mention the vistas in these parks are incredible, your first instinct is to try and capture it all in one perfect image. which is impossible. The day I shot this was as close to perfect as the Glacier National park has seen in its long history. We decided to take a boat ride on lake McDonald to see if it looked any more majestic from the water. Of course I tried multiple times to get it all in one photo but to no avail. I found my selective landscape photos described the day in a much more effective way. By the way, there is no color correction on this photo. This was as shot, I did use a polarizing filter, but these are the actual colors of Montana.
