I can’t believe I never posted this photograph. I took it back in 2008 on a trip back to New York. At the time, I had not been back to NYC in about 15 years. I born in north New Jersey and lived there until I was 20. During that time, especially my late teens, I spent a lot of time in the city especially the village but when I took trips into the city with my family, my parents would always make sure we took in all the iconic land marks… Well, except for the statue of liberty, I have seen her many times but have yet to visit Ellis Island. Enough of the back story, point is this trip was very nostalgic for me and I was very happy to capture this icon on a stormy east coast day.
